Diagnostics and Site Survey
Every engagement starts with a reliable diagnosis. Before you decide on repair, refurbishment, upgrade, or replacement, we assess the actual condition of your equipment, operational risks, and component availability. Free of charge, at our service center or at your facility.

01 — Two paths
Diagnostics at our service center vs. on-site survey at the Customer
We accept small modules, boards, and parts at our labs in Wrocław and Dęblin — where we have a full measurement setup that can't be taken into the field. We assess large integrated systems (simulators, server rooms, building installations) on-site, under their actual operating conditions.
02 — Tools and methods
Diagnostic capabilities
We don't guess — we measure. We combine classic microscopy with BGA X-ray, thermal imaging, and a full set of instruments for digital and analog signal measurement.
Microscopy and optical inspection
Digital and stereo microscopes for assessing solder joints, PCB traces, BGA, micro-cracks, and corrosion.
BGA X-ray and tomography
Inspection of connections under BGA/QFN without disassembly, detection of solder voids and open connections.
Thermal imaging
Locating hot spots on boards, in switchgear, power supply circuits, and HVAC systems.
Electronics and industrial endoscope
Access to hard-to-reach areas: inside modules, hydraulic systems, and ventilation ducts.
Electrical signal measurement
Digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, signal generator, precision multimeters.
Functional system assessment
Testing equipment under near-operational conditions — simulators, test & measurement equipment, emergency power systems.
03 — Geographic reach
Poland, Europe, the USA, Arab countries
We conduct on-site surveys at bases of the Polish Armed Forces as well as NATO and US Army facilities and civilian customer sites — domestically and abroad. We have experience working in field conditions, at airports, in high-security-access server rooms, and at licensed facilities.
- Polish Armed Forces bases and Ministry of Defense facilities
- NATO and US Army bases in Europe
- Simulator centers and training facilities
- Civilian server rooms (banking, telecom, energy sectors)
- Facilities in Arab countries
- Military and civilian airports
04 — What you get
Diagnostic outcome
Diagnostic report
A description of technical condition, a list of detected faults, and recommendations (component repair, refurbishment, replacement, upgrade) with cost and time estimates.
Obsolescence report
Analysis of market component availability, lifecycle status (active / NRND / EOL / LTB), supply risks, and proposed form-fit-function replacements.
Dedicated project manager
A single point of contact from the initial request through to the final report — no handoffs between departments.
Data security
Encrypted databases on local networks or ISO 27001 European data centers. Access control based on industrial security clearances.
05 — Who it's for
Who benefits from our diagnostics
Customers without a service contract
One-off support for equipment assessment — no need to sign a long-term contract. The most common first point of contact with A&D Serwis.
Operators of critical systems
Simulators, server rooms, UPS/HVAC infrastructure, test & measurement equipment — where the repair-vs-upgrade decision requires an independent, expert assessment.
Procurement and logistics departments
Obsolescence reports and form-fit-function replacement quotes — supporting LTB (Last Time Buy) budgeting and alternative-purchase decisions.
06 — Next steps
After diagnostics — no pressure
The diagnostic report is a standalone deliverable — you can use it with us or with any other provider. If you decide to proceed, we'll route your case to the right service:
- Electronics Repair → component-level repair of boards and modules to IPC-7711/7721
- Mechanical Repair → part refurbishment and manufacturing, 5-axis CNC machining
- Preventive Maintenance → scheduled inspections, OEM-aligned maintenance schedules
- OEM Hub → when manufacturer dialogue or a form-fit-function replacement is needed
- Service Contracts → long-term support with guaranteed SLAs
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the diagnostic service if I'm not an existing customer?
Yes. Diagnostics are available to new customers without signing a service contract. Just submit a request — we'll accept the equipment at our service center or schedule an on-site survey.
Are these services available outside Poland?
Yes. We carry out on-site surveys in Poland, across Europe, in the USA, and in Arab countries — at both military bases and civilian facilities. Travel costs outside the EU are agreed individually.
How much does the diagnostic assessment cost?
Diagnostics at our service center in Wrocław are free of charge. On-site surveys within Poland are also free of charge. For surveys outside Poland, we cover specialist labor time, while the customer covers travel and accommodation costs.
What does the obsolescence report include?
A list of critical components, their current manufacturer status (active, NRND — not recommended for new designs, EOL — end of life, LTB — last time buy), forecasted availability, supply risk, and recommended form-fit-function alternatives.
What happens after the diagnostic assessment?
You receive a report with recommendations — no pressure to proceed. If you decide to move forward, your project manager routes the case to the appropriate service: electronics repair, mechanical repair, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, or OEM Hub.
